dune competition

I did these images for the Dune 'The Shoe is Art' competition. But their inbox is full so I haven't been able to email them, very saddening. Loads of people have had the same problem so hoping they will keep the competition open a bit longer.
They are supposed to be almost disgustingly kitsch and an ironic sort of take on what is seen to be girly/masculine. Because all girls love unicorns, and men just want to own a bulldog.

nights at the circus

3rd poster, with stars and fevvers.

tristan and yseult.

Another pretendy kneehigh poster. Is it legible though? That seems to be my problem. And can anyone guess what the green heart symbolises? And are there some White Hands hidden amongst the foliage...? Oh but it's just so CONCEPTUAL!

I have also done an option in a melancholy light blue...

And a soppy peachy pink... I quite like this in a pretty girly way. But it is quite a tragic story so maybe it is not Apprope.

christmas card with facts by enid b.

You can't argue with these facts; I cut them out of an Enid Blyton book.

the red shoes poster

I am pretending to do posters for Kneehigh theatre company. Just taking some of the plays they have put on recently and making mainly typographical posters. Also doing one for Tristan and Yseult, and Nights at the Circus. And maybe one more but I'm a bit Tired.
I quite like this, in all its simplicity. Those evil shoes. Tappa tappa tappa!
BUT - I just spoke to Al-Dogg and he reckoned this looked better, I think it is more legible:

blackbird on a wire

Here is a blackbird chap on a wire. It is a bit of a depressing image I suppose but I was trying  out printing in one colour then changing parts of it using PHODOSHOP (this is what Tyra Banks would call it). He's got a shrewd look in his eye.
