we no speak mexicano

This is old news, but it isn't on my website. So here it is, a map of Mexico detailing the regional food variations. Turns out the food doesn't really vary that much. But never mind that!

makin' whoopee

Lol. I've also been makin' these, as well as all the whoopee.

dead island

well I have been interning my small socks off at Lightsource Music, and having a Lovely Time.  This is some artwork for the theme from Dead Island, which is a horrific zombie game that I had to watch the preview for for inspiraysh. I was devastated by the imagery, and do not understand why anyone would 'play' such a 'game'. It was quite fun to make imagery for though, using blood spatter Photoshop brushes which I have never had need for before.

green man

i've been learning how to use illustrator! thank you suzie, wise tutor.

blessed be thy octopus

another mistaken entry for the competition. i loved that german octopus that predicted the football results. and that they called him paul. but i think he died not long after the world cup.
here are my current specific top 5 blessings, as inspired by paul:
1. went to asda this morning. love asda.
2. made £30 on ebay! that'll keep the wolf from the door.
3. angry boys. NATHAN!
4. i just read the book 'on beauty' by zadie smith. it was beautiful. it made me cry.
5. got letters after my name now, yeah buddy. BA baby.

elephants never forget

I did this for a t-shirt design competition called Remember Joy. but I didn't read the brief properly and the imagery was meant to be black and white, whoopsamadaisy. still i think he is quite sweet and joyous.

red snapper

i made a print of a gormless-looking red snapper fish, for my mexican project. but now its not being used for that, so what can i use it for...? i just don't know.

little venice

so here is my (unsuccessful) entry for the transport for london river thames brief. i did it in a day, and i think this is evident in the quality... i had to rush it. BUT it was a worthwhile media experiment, i combined drawing and print texture digitally, then added a layer of pastels atop. let me think of something positive to say about it... i like the colours. and the composish isn't bad. mary and rachel would be pleased.

simple to sew and attractive to wear

apparently I did love using those little pegs in the first year!

sir basil

This is an odd one. But he seems happy enough.

ice is always a hazard with fishermen.

She doesn't lie.

and what could be more delightful than drinking in the beauty of the Sea on a moonlit tropical night?

I found some old work from Visual Studies the first year. What could be more delightful?
